Beginner Wheel Throwing Class

Ever dreamed of creating your own pottery but don’t know where to start? Our Beginner Wheel Throwing Class is the perfect introduction for you! This welcoming, two-hour workshop is designed for absolute beginners, whether you’ve never touched clay or just want to refresh your skills from a high school class.

What to Expect:

• Hands-On Experience: Get your hands on a potter’s wheel and learn the basics of centering clay, opening and pulling your walls and forming your own unique piece. Our friendly instructor will guide you through each step, making sure you feel confident and supported.
• Fun and Engaging Environment: Come ready to get a little dirty and have a lot of fun. We believe in laughter and enjoyment as you delve into the art of wheel throwing.
• What’s Included: Your ticket covers one project, with the option to create additional pieces for just $20 each. Once your creations are fired (about 2-4 weeks), you can either return to paint them or choose from our free all-over black or white glaze option.
• Recommendations: We ask that all potters come “ready to create” that means, nails neatly trimmed (long/ acrylic nails not recommended when throwing on the wheel), hair longer than shoulders must be pulled back and secured away from your wheel, finally we recommend coming in clothes that could get messy; we provide an apron and clay does wash off but sometimes it just has a mind of its own!

Cancellations
Cancellations more than 72 hours prior to event will receive a store credit. Cancellations with the 72 hours before event will lose their deposit. No refund will be given for no calls, no shows.
